Eric D. Westerlund, MSN, CRNP

Eric D. Westerlund was born and raised in Birmingham and attended Huffman High School (class of ’83). He attended Auburn University graduating with a B. S. in Nursing. Eric served 10 years as a reservist hospital corpsman in the U. S. Navy and is a combat veteran after serving in Kuwait during Desert Shield/Desert Storm assigned to the 5th Battalion 10th Marines. After working as a cardiac intensive care nurse, Eric returned to school at UAB to obtain a Master’s degree as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner then continuing to earn a post-graduate degree and certification in Family Practice. He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 2000.

Eric and his wife, Jill, have been married for 19 years and have two young sons, Hunter and Will. They live in Trussville and actively attend First Baptist Church of Trussville. Eric is an avid reader of Civil War and WWII books and is a collector including WWII memorabilia and miniature military figures. Eric loves college football especially SEC football and although he is an Auburn graduate his allegiance is to the Crimson Tide—RTR!
